Alot has changed in the last 6 weeks. We are no longer going to Chengdu for obvious reasons and will be touring Guilan instead. China is very strict on the visa applications. They required hotel confirmation numbers and the Kimmie and Ali's adoptions decrees from China to prove they were born in China. In addition there is a breakout of foot and mouth disease in Anhui and Gao Zhou, the 2 provinces where the orphanages are. BUT we are persevering and moving forward with our plans.
I have ordered toys and clothing for the Gao Zhou orphanage and a digital camera for the Anhui orphanage. They will be shipped and arriving on or near the dates we go. These are our gifts.
Only 2 weeks until our departure!!

June 19 (Thur) All 6 passengers-Arrive at Shanghai by international flight American Airlines 289 at 14:05, upon arrival, meet the local guide and transfer to the city, check in Crowne Plaza Hotel. Rest of time free. Meals on own.
June 20 (Fri) Breakfast at the hotel.
Shanghai one day tour with guide and driver including the Bund, Yuyaun Garden and Old Town, Shanghai Museum. Lunch included in local restaurant, dinner on own.
June 21 (Sat) Breakfast at the hotel
Drive to airport for flight to Guangzhou, upon arrival, meet the local guide and transfer to Guangzhou train station for afternoon train by soft seat to Maoming (about 5.5 hours ride), upon arrival, meet the local guide and transfer to Maoming Sight Hotel (3* best available). Lunch included, dinner on own.
June 22 (Sun) Breakfast at the hotel
Maoming SWI visit with guide and driver, meet the director, see child’d file (if available), afterenoon local sightseeing in Maoming or visit finding site. Lunch and dinner included.
June 23 (Mon) Breakfast at the hotel
Drive to Maoming train station for train back to Guangzhou, upon arrival, meet the local guide and transfer to White Swan Hotel or similar 5* hotel. Lunch included, dinner on own.

Morning local sightseeing in Hefei including Li Family House, Baogong Shrine and Xiaoyao Park with free time in the park. Afternoon driver to Bengbu and check in Bengbu Jinjiang Hotel (5*). Lunch and dinner included.

Day trip to experience local farmer’s village life, including see local traditional cave houses, farmer village and dairy farm, and lunch with local family with dumpling and noodle making. Afternoon drive back to the city, dinner on own.

The Stevens-Morning transfer with guide and driver to airport for flight to Chengdu, upon arrival, meet the local guide and transfer to the city, visit People’s Park to enjoy the local experience, including lillipop making, fortune telling and teahouse.
